mountains, but much cold in the morning and night times.

Introduction:
Annapurna Himalaya Sunrise Panorama trekking, a short and beautiful adventure of less than
week duration with exciting time on high hills within Annapurna Himalaya range, catching
fabulous panorama of world’s three highest mountains from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna to Manaslu
range with magnificent Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.
Annapurna Himalaya Sunrise Panorama trekking leads you within enchanting rhododendron
and pine woodland, in spring times the whole hills and valley turns into paradise when wild-
flowers are in full bloom with riots of colors, specially the rhododendron with various species of
flowers, as the area around Ghorepani and Poon Hill regarded as world’s largest natural garden
which you can witness on the marvelous walks.

Walk starts after a short drive from scenic Pokhara city and its beautiful valley one of the most
sought touristic spot around Himalaya, blessed with close views of Annapurna Mountains and
Machhapuchare Himal that reflects on its calm Phewa and Begnas Lakes.
Beginning our treks heading into mid hills past farm villages and within dense alpine woodland
with constant views of Annapurna range of mountains to reach at Ghorepani village located on
a high ridge on an old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route Trail of Nepal and Tibet, populated by
native Poon of Magar tribe of hill people.
An interesting village with views of Dhaulagiri mountain range in the midst of rhododendron
forest, where early morning walk takes you to a climb at Poon Hill the highest point of the
journey offers 360° mountain panorama with striking sunrise over chain of peaks.
After a wonderful time at Ghorepani and Poon Hill return trek back to beautiful Pokhara taking
an alternative route visiting nice large Ghandruk village of Gurung tribe natives of Annapurna
Himalaya, an impressive place with view of Annapurna then walking downhill to warmer low
area to reach at Pokhara, where our marvelous adventure Annapurna Sunrise Panorama
Trekking completes.

About Trip Overview

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu 1,340 m and transfer to hotel.

On arrival in Kathmandu the one and only country international airport, meet our guide and
staff for short drive to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city.
After checking into your nice rooms with rest after a jet-lag, and then rendezvous with other
group member of Annapurna Himalaya Sunrise Panorama Trekking, where our guide / leader
will brief you with information regarding the treks, about hotels and lodge with Nepalese
culture, do’s and don’ts.

Evening enjoy grand welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants with various native
cultures as entertainment.

Day 2 At Kathmandu with tour and trek preparations.

In Kathmandu allowing you a free day with interesting sightseeing tour, where in Kathmandu
one can visit its historical and religious monuments listed in world heritage sites, afternoon free
preparation for Annapurna Himalaya Sunrise Panorama Trekking, starting next early morning
overland journey to reach at Pokhara.

Day 3 Drive or fly to Pokhara 865 m - 06 hrs ride (30 mins by air).

Morning taking an overland journey from Kathmandu to reach lovely spot at Pokhara, where
drive leads beyond Kathmandu valley on downhill to reach lower farm villages and towns
following Trisuli River for some times, then heading due west with views of Manaslu and
Annapurna Himalaya as our drive ends at beautiful Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake with views
of Annapurna and Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail peak’

Day 4 Short drive to Nayapul 1,100 m and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,435 m - 04 hrs.

With pleasant overnight stop in Pokhara, where morning short drive leads you to the starting
point of our trek at Nayapul town or from Bhirethati village, a nice place on the side of Modi
River, where walk starts heading on Old Trans Himalaya Salt Trade Route of Nepal to Tibet that
extends beyond Ghorepani towards Upper Mustang.
Walk leads with slow uphill into villages overlooking cascading waterfalls entering forest and
farm areas with climb to reach at Tirkhedhunga within a nice farm village close to its beautiful
water falls for overnight stop.

Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani village 2,872 m - 05 hrs.

From Tirkhedhunga morning walk up hill on stone paved steps all the way to reach a high ridge
top at Ulleri village after a tough walk of few hours.
Ulleri a large Gurung and Magar village facing views of rolling hills and snow capped peaks of
Annapurna South, Huin Chuli and top of Machhapuchare Himal.
After a refreshing stop walk continues on winding gentle path within oaks-pines and
rhododendron forest, and then slowly gaining altitude to reach at Ghorepani village.
Ghorepani offers fantastic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Vara-Shikar also called
Annapurna Fang, village with blue painted houses serving as good lodges located at the base of
Poon Hill, populated with Poon people of Magar ethnic tribe.

Day 6 Morning hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m continue walk to Tadapani 2,680 m - 05 hrs.

Starting early morning an hour hike up to Poon-Hill at above 3,210 m high, offers stunning
views of sunrise over range of mountains from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and

as far to Ganesh Himal including Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”.
After enjoying wide angle panorama views of mountains with sunrise walk back to Ghorepani
and then continue trek to Tadapani, our route leads to a climb into enchanting rhododendron
forest all the way to Tadapani for the overnight stop.
Tadapani situated in the middle of rhododendron, magnolia and oaks forest with fabulous
view of Mt. Machhapuchare and Annapurna South.

Day 7 Trek to Ghandruk village 1,945 m - 04 hrs with afternoon free to explore.

Morning catching views of Annapurna peaks as walk leads downhill into dense forest to reach
one of the largest village of the area at Ghandruk populated by Gurung hill tribes of Annapurna
region, at Ghandruk for overnight stop with free afternoon to explore around this interesting
village and its small museum of great interest.

Day 8 Trek to Nayapul - 04 hrs with 2 hrs drive back Pokhara.

Our last day of marvelous walks around the hills of Annapurna, from Ghandruk heading
downhill on nice stone steps to reach low warm farm areas at Syali Bazaar, from here on nice
pleasant trail past number of scattered farm lands and villages to reach at Bhirethati and then
towards Nayapul town for short drive back to beautiful Pokhara nearby Phewa lake for
overnight in the comfort of nice hotels.

Day 9 Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with free afternoon.

After a great wonderful time around Annapurna Himalaya high hills and at scenic Pokhara,
morning transfer for overland journey with exciting drive back to Kathmandu.
For flying options 30 minutes of scenic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Day 10 Depart Kathmandu for international departure homeward bound.

Finally all good things must come to an end with grand glorious memories and experience of
Annapurna Himalaya Sunrise Panorama trekking, with last final day in Nepal a country of
Himalayan wonders where our staff and guide transfer you to Kathmandu international airport
for your flight home or to respective countries.
